Yes. Our Classic flavor is brewed with real quinine extract -
the traditional bittering agent that gives tonic water its characteristic flavor. Many commercial tonics use synthetic alternatives or very low quantities. We use the real thing.

Jim Thompson

Jim Thompson is one of Bangkok's most storied dining destinations — a restaurant nestled among traditional Thai houses and lush tropical gardens that has long been a landmark for visitors and locals alike. Known for blending authentic Thai culinary tradition with contemporary elegance, Jim Thompson was one of the first venues to recognise what Bitter Water stands for. We're proud to be on their menu alongside some of the finest spirits and food Thailand has to offer.

Aunglo by Yangrak

Recognised in the Michelin Guide, Aunglo by Yangrak is a restaurant with deep roots and a bold vision. Taking inspiration from Thailand's vibrant street food culture, chef Yangrak cooks over an ancient Thai charcoal stove — the aunglo — bringing a smoky, honest intensity to modern Thai fare. It's a place that respects where food comes from. We feel right at home there.

FAQs

  • Bitter Water is naturally brewed and bottled in Bangkok, Thailand. Every batch is made locally using Thai botanicals and organic citrus — no outsourcing, no shortcuts.

  • Bitter Water uses botanicals that no imported tonic can offer — particularly Pegha (ดอกเพกา), a rare Thai flower used in traditional Thai herbal medicine for centuries. Our formulas were developed specifically to reflect Thai botanical heritage, and every bottle is brewed locally in Bangkok. We're not trying to replicate what already exists. We're making something that could only come from Thailand.

  • Absolutely. All three Bitter Water flavors are delicious on their own — poured over ice with a simple garnish. The Floral and Craft Bitter Lemon flavors in particular make outstanding non-alcoholic drinks.

  • Each Bitter Water bottle is 200 ml — the ideal size for a single serve. Cartons contain 24 bottles.

  • Bitter Water has a shelf life of 6 months at room temperature and 8–10 months when refrigerated. Because we use no artificial preservatives, we recommend storing in a cool, dark place and refrigerating before serving.

  • We'd love to work with you. The minimum order for cafes and restaurants is 3 cartons (72 bottles), with delivery included across Thailand. Visit our Trade & Wholesale page to submit an enquiry — or contact us directly and we'll get back to you quickly.
